A day out at Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach remains favourite for not only the tourists but also the locals. Mainly because it offers so much more than just regular beach activities. Bondi Beach stretches for about 1 km. Bondi Beach hosts different kinds of events each year. The most awaited one is ‘Sculptures by the Sea’. It takes place in October and November. It is the world’s largest free outdoor sculpture exhibitions. World’s premier sculpture artists participate in this festival. In September there is a kite flying festival, ‘Festival of the Winds’. During winter that is between June to August, there is an ice skating festival ‘Bondi Winter Magic’. ‘Ben and Jerry’s Openair Cinema’ takes place from January to February. It is an outdoor movie screening of classics and new movies.

If you are visiting during the weekend, Bondi farmers market is a must visit. It is held every Saturday at Bondi Beach Public School. You can buy organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, homemade jams, cheese, bread, olive oil, herbs and spices. Shop till you drop at the Boutique Shopping Street called Gould Street.
