The Crystal Palace Company who owned the exhibition building founded the Crystal Palace Club in 1857 to play cricket before turning their attention to football.

Fulham FC

Fulham Football Club like their West London neighbours Chelsea, still plays at the same ground on which they became a recognised professional team. Their home is Craven Cottage and the club has played there since 1896, other than a two year period spent at Loftus Road whilst Craven Cottage underwent redevelopment in 2004.

Set on the banks of the River Thames near Putney Bridge and with their new riverside stand development walkway, you can walk along the Thames before taking your seat for some premiership football.
